This year edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week will host a session titled 'Circular Economy – Energy and More'  on the 7th of June at 11.00-12.30 in Brussels.

The EU Circular Economy agenda is moving forward. It is about going full circle: really closing the loop. While energy efficiency and clean energy play a key role in many policy interventions in this field, circular economy goes even broader. Based on a full life cycle approach, it also factors in aspects like material sourcing, production and use, durability and flexibility, and end of life options. This is a real challenge, but necessary, if we are to achieve maximum energy and financial savings, and optimise value and use from all raw materials, products and waste.

You will hear from companies and organisations how existing EU tools designed for sustainable consumption and production help them using energy and resources in a smarter way. So, if you want to know:

  • How your company can benefit from circular economy thinking and save costs?
  • How you can lead the transition to more sustainable consumption?
  • How you can make the most of existing EU initiatives?
