The Horizon Europe project InvestCEC aims to develop a replicable model for implementing circular economy projects in cities and regions and so is calling for entrepreneurs to submit their projects.
Selected candidates will have the chance to present their circular economy solutions and receive detailed expert feedback from experienced business consultants, venture capital experts and the public sector at no cost.
The DRIVE 0 project - a collaboration of 7 European countries - has developed Circular Homes, a user-centered digital platform to provide information and resources on circular renovation to homeowners, consumers, and professionals. The platform offers comprehensive resources to understand and implement circularity principles in the built environment.

The European Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference will take place on 15 and 16 April 2024 in Brussels - with a twist!
Europe's top circular economy conference is joining forces with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF). Policy makers, industry leaders, academics and activists from all around the world will come to Brussels to turn circular visions into actions, making the most of this unique platform for fostering partnerships and reinforcing the role of the circular economy as a driver of sustainable development.

The Dutch circular procurement platform Versnellingsnetwerk Circular Inkopen has gone global with the English version of its website.
Aiming for a sustainable future, it shares Dutch good practices on circular procurement. Tailored to global stakeholders, the platform offers a step-by-step guide, role-specific advice and product-specific insights, emphasising supplier involvement.
Developed through multistakeholder collaboration and supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, it is a vital resource for a circular economy.
The workshops on Nutrient recycling policy will be held by the European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform in Brussels and online on 12-14 March 2024.
Objectives:
To elaborate ambitious, feasible and consensus proposals for regulatory targets for phosphorus and nitrogen reuse-recycling from municipal wastewater and
To identify policy tools to support market pull for recycled nutrients which could achieve consensus across industry and users.
In 2022, the EU’s circular material use rate reached 11.5%. This means that 11.5% of material resources used in the EU came from recycled waste materials.
The Circularity Gap Report Munich is the first study measuring the Circularity Gap of a city. It assesses the city’s material consumption, material cycling, consumption-based carbon footprint and other indicators. It uses a consumption-based carbon accounting approach for emissions from goods and services consumed by residents of a locality. On average, each Munich resident consumes 32 tonnes of virgin materials annually.
The study acknowledges the successes of Munich’s circular economy strategy with initiatives like investment in public transport, community gardens and remanufacturing activities, but calls for bolder action to accelerate the circular transition
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is one of the key policies requiring EU Member States to organise separate collection of textile waste as of 2025. EPR schemes are an important tool for reducing the environmental impact of textiles, promoting circularity and contributing to more efficient end-of-life management.

CircularPSP brings together seven procurers from seven countries to jointly accelerate the digital transition towards a circular economy. Its focus is pre-commercial procurement (PCP).
It has invested €5.64 million in R&D and provides training and holds conferences. The procurers represent a number of European countries, including capitals with a strong global outreach (Berlin, Helsinki, London and Istanbul).
Other cities, regions, government organisations, public procurers and projects will have the chance to liaise with consortium representatives and are urged to become part of the Follower Network. They will be informed about the timeline and next steps in solution development, as well as opportunities for cooperation.
