Lexmark is committed to pursuing circular economy initiatives for increased inclusion of post-consumer recycled plastic in its products. · For Lexmark’s in House branded Lexmark printers, we set the goal to reach an average of 20% PCR weight of our total plastic usage by 2020. · For Lexmark cartridges, our goal is to reach 25% PCR content by 2020.
HP used more than 4,500 tonnes (10 million pounds) of recycled plastics in the 28 EU countries in 2017. HP intends to grow the amount of recycled plastic content (RCP) used by more than 50% by 2020; and intends to use a total of 22,500 tonnes (50 million pounds) of recycled plastics in the 28 EU countries in its products from 2017 to 2020 inclusive.
We pledge to use up to 44,500 tons of recycled plastics by 2025 to be used in home appliances components. Pre-condition is that the recycled material would meet ROHS, REACH requirements and would have the quality needed to comply with our performance specification. Food Grade recycled PS would be needed as well.
SCS is the joint industry initiative to significantly increase the circularity of styrenics by building on PS’ unique intrinsic capacity for circularity. Game-changing technologies such as depolymerisation back to its constituent monomer and dissolution will enable recycled PS to be used over and over again in its original applications, including food contact.
Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH (NGR), AUSTRIA. Development and standardization of a plastic-melt inline inspection unit. Real-time quality-monitoring of rPM-quality will lead to higher confidence in quality and increase the use of rPMs. The gathered information leads to improvements up and down the value chain - enhancing the drive for higher quality, at comparably moderate costs.
EuPC pledges to consolidate per polymer type and register at EU and national level all recycled polymers used by plastics converters in different markets to reach the goal of 10 million T of use of recycled plastics between 2025 and 2030.
Dells EU Plastic pledge is aligned to our global 2020 Legacy of Good (LoG) goal to use 100 million pounds of recycled-content plastic and other sustainable materials in our products, using FY14 as a baseline. Dell is pledging two plastic polymers ABS & PC. We have based our EU Plastics pledge on our 2020 LoG goal and will review should our goal change after 2020.
