The Coordination Group guides the Platform's activities and its members act as its ambassadors. They are also the main contributors to Day 2 of the Annual Conference as they design and lead workshops based on themes such as consumer insights into the circular economy, tools for measuring the transition, circular cities and climate change mitigation, to mention a few of this year's lively debates.
Composed of a broad spectrum of organisations with a pan-European reach, the Coordination Group enables and implements change through its workplan of activities, showing concretely how synergies can accelerate the transition.
With a mandate until 2020, the Group brings together 24 members selected from civil society organisations, business and trade union representatives, think-tanks, research centres and public bodies that have a stake in the circular economy.
EU institutions and existing EU Platforms relating to the circular economy are also invited to participate in the activities of the Coordination Group. The EESC has appointed three of its Members to participate in the work of the CG
The Coordination Group meets formally once a year and during its 2018 annual meeting Ladeja Godina Košir was nominated as its Chair for 2019.
