10th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region 2019

The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) - approved by the European Council in 2009 following a communication from the European Commission - aims to reinforce cooperation in the region in order to tackle common challenges by working together. It also aims to emphasize key opportunities in the region. Its three main objectives - Save the Sea, Connect the Region and Increase Prosperity - relate to a wide range of  EU policies.

Numerous workshops of the 10th EUSBSR Annual Forum, which will be held in the symbolic Hanseatic city of Gdańsk (Poland) on 12 and 13 June 2019, will be addressing circular economy issues. Here are just a few examples:

  • Circular economy and health: it's mainly good news

  • Enhancing business-driven circular economy

  • Towards a digital bioeconomy in the Baltic Sea Region

  • Circular Economy in cities – strategy for development.
