Analysis and Proposals for a New European Urban Policy and the Role of Small and Medium Cities

The EURE partners are bringing together experts, political representatives of local and regional authorities and representatives of European institutions to discuss the following questions:

What are the new territorial models for the management of European urban policy?

What is the role of small and medium-sized cities in proposing a renewed European urban policy adapted to the challenges of our times?

The conference entitled Analysis and Proposals for a New European Urban Policy and the Role of Small and Medium Cities will also give participants the chance to discuss the relationship between small and medium-sized cities and the sustainably-built environment, which includes a circular perspective.

This event will focus on a phase of the project dedicated to interregional learning. As a result of this phase, each partner has developed an action plan seeking to improve the policy instrument addressed by each partner and establish schemes for improving the governance of key urban environmental activities.

The action plans will be presented during the event, with the participation of:

  • Marcos Ros MEP, rapporteur for the New European Bauhaus
  • Radim Sršeň, Deputy of the Cabinet Minister for Regional Development of the Czech Republic and member of the European Committee of the Regions
  • Alfredo García, Mayor of O Barco de Valdeorras (ES)
  • Cristina Fernández Dávila, Mayor of Ponteareas (ES)
  • Brenda Barnini, Mayor of Empoli (IT).

Participants will be informed should it become possible to follow the conference online.
