The Circular Bioeconomy Day on 24 October (9:00 - 15:00 CEST) serves as a platform for sharing knowledge about bio-based solutions in the spirit of interdisciplinary cooperation, to create a world where nature is respected and rejuvenated, and where economic prosperity is achieved without compromising the wellbeing of the planet.

The event, which is a part of Circular Week 2023, brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including policymakers from the EU, regional government representatives, local administration, businesses, NGOs, academia visionaries, thought leaders and experts, to celebrate and explore the remarkable potential of the circular bioeconomy and the pivotal role of its strategies in driving the transition towards a circular economy.

The Circular Bioeconomy Day will feature three sessions of keynote presentations, engaging panel discussions as well as a lunch with live cooking.

Participants will have the chance to learn about the EU and national circular bioeconomy strategies, the pioneering projects transferring waste into a valuable resource, the industrial symbiosis of biowaste and biomass as a source of energy, the development of food hubs as a solution to tackle food loss and about many other innovative technologies that lie ahead.

Startups and organizations will get the opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking initiatives, disruptive technologies, and pioneering projects that contribute to the circular bioeconomy. This unique marketplace of ideas will foster innovation, investment, and collaboration, paving the way for a future where sustainability and economic growth go hand in hand.
