EESC and MMM seminar on the role of Families in achieving the Circular Economy
It is a pleasure to invite you to the seminar on the Role of Families in achieving the Circular Economy that Make Mothers Matter (MMM) is organising in partnership with the EESC on the occasion of the International Day of Families.
As the Behavioural Study on Consumers’ Engagement in the Circular Economy recently published by the European Commission 2018 points out, consumer participation on the Circular Economy has received little attention until now. Thus to move towards a Circular Economy, the consumption/demand side needs to be well understood and studied. Consumers play a pivotal role in transitioning to a circular economy.
The seminar will focus on how society can achieve economic progress by including measures of social inclusion, equal opportunities and justice, and how families can be supported in order to contribute in the transition to a more circular economy.
This event is an occasion for MMM to present how families are being engaged in the circular economy in the context of the Horizon 2020 research project CIRC4life.
