The Green Growth Community final event will be held on 1 June from 9:00 to 18:00 CEST in TownHall Europe, Brussels, within the framework of the EU Green Week. It will be an excellent opportunity to network, discover successful case studies, and exchange opportunities in relation to the upcoming Interreg Euro-MED Programme’s calls for new thematic projects.

The event will gather a wide range of stakeholders interested in showcasing their activities aimed to boost the circular economy locally, and will attract public authorities, researchers and representatives of organisations working to upscale the circular economy. The agenda will also include representatives of regional authorities and the European institutions who will show their visions and missions.

In the past six years the Green Growth Community has achieved tangible results contributing to national and regional policy frameworks in the Euro-Mediterranean region as well as supporting SMEs in their transition toward a circular economy. Community projects such as GRASPINNO, ARISTOIL and PEFMED – working on eco-innovation and food systems respectively – or EMBRACE – focusing on food systems as well – have been striving to deliver these results.

The Community’s final event will be an opportunity to meet representatives from these projects, and hear their experiences first hand. It will emphasise the importance of cooperation between different stakeholders and the need to change the operations approach of businesses and public authorities to transition towards climate neutrality.

The second part of the event will focus on the importance of cooperation among actors and territories to accelerate the shift towards climate neutrality, especially highlighting the need to involve all stakeholders of the local ecosystem in this transition. Cristina GINER - freelance journalist & producer at Euronews, will moderate the session discussions.
