Global Sustainable Technology and Innovation conferences (G-STIC) are annual events that aim to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations enabling the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). G-STIC 2018 is divided into 4 sessions.

  • The first session focuses on recognising the various international dimensions and perspectives surrounding circular economy.
  • The second session, 'Advanced Sorting and Characterisation', explores the innovative sorting and characterisation technologies that are at the forefront, and which provide a new basis for closing material loops.
  • The third session, 'Virtual Product Chains', takes a broader perspective and focuses on a value chain approach.
  • The final session, 'Mapping Urban Metabolism', brings the different elements together and analyses the role of urban flows in generating a circular economy.
