On 29 September 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST, the Environmental Technology Verification programme (ETV) will host an online webinar on ETV’s potential to help innovators, investors, and buyers improve their confidence in new environmental technologies through verification. ETV works to boost the adoption of new innovative environmental technologies and therefore contribute to the circular economy.

During the two-hour online webinar, speakers will discuss the ways in which ETV can benefit technology developers, investors, buyers, and policymakers. This includes the relevant policy context and how ETV fits into the fabric of the Green New Deal, circular economy, zero pollution and more. To encourage more innovative green innovators to verify their technologies, ETV will share relevant case studies from previously verified technologies.

In addition, the Head of the European Pollution Prevention and Control Bureau,  a regulatory arm of the Commission’s Directorate General Environment and Joint Research Centre (JRC), will touch on the context of ETV as an environmental policy support tool. Colleagues from the LIFEproETV project will also share the value propositions of ETV and touch on ETV’s relevance for Green Public Procurement.

Following the case studies, a questions and answer section will offer participants the chance to ask any burning questions they have about the verification process or EU ETV in general.
