Even if all 194 countries that pledged climate action as part of the Paris Agreement fulfil their emissions-cutting promises, the rise in temperatures is still forecast to hit 3.2°C this century. To get to the end goal of a socially just and ecologically safe space, intelligent resource management to stem consumption and cut emissions is needed. The big shift is the circular economy (CE).

Join Circle Economy to uncover the solutions for a linear world consuming over 100 billion tonnes of materials and has warmed by 1°C. On 26 January Circle Economy will launch its 2021 Circularity Gap Report during the Virtual Davos Agenda Week hosted by the World Economic Forum.

The Circularity Gap Reporting Initiative (CGRi) highlights the urgent need to the transition to CE. The aim is to empower key decision makers in both government and business to coordinate action to accelerate transition, by measuring current states of circularity and by bringing together stakeholders from businesses, governments, academia and NGOs to input and evaluate the CGRi findings on the state of transition based on the latest scientific evidence.
