The reduction of food losses and food waste is a global priority that will contribute to ensuring a sustainable future. As one of the Sustainable Development Goals, this challenge is high on the global agenda.

Copa and Cogeca are committed to meeting this challenge by making the circular economy work and fostering such an approach, this being one which enhances productivity and uses natural resources efficiently.

The event will be an opportunity to present some existing business cases from EU farmers and cooperatives and a forum for discussion on all these issues, its objective being to assist the farming sector in continuing to prevent and reduce food loss and food waste.
