UIPI Renovation Tour - Property owners and professionals: Emilia Romagna on Board

Once again, the International Union of Property Owners (UIPI), in cooperation with the University of Bologna (UNIBO), the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE), the Order of Engineers of Bologna and Confedilizia is committed to promoting this UIPI Renovation Tour event. The event will help local property owners and professionals (as well as others interested in participating) understand the new European climate objectives, the New European Bauhaus and related EU, national and regional policies and their impact.

It is crucial to raise awareness about the urgency of the goals, the state of play, the new challenges to be faced, the practical implications and all the tools and support systems available on the market to start making the built environment more sustainable. Enhancing public debate on these issues with the participation of owners and professionals (architects, engineers and builders), policy makers, representatives of key stakeholders and civil society, will also shed light on what needs to be improved and finetuned in existing policies.

Without the commitment of all stakeholders, it will be more difficult to achieve the climate goals of the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus: giving all stakeholders a voice is the best way to achieve this.

This sixth UIPI Renovation Tour has a programme (in Italian) similar to that of previous years, with an initial policy-themed explanatory session followed by a public debate. This will be followed by a series of practical sessions on financial, technical and assistance tools developed both locally and through European research and innovation funds. It will help homeowners cope with the profound restructuring they will have to undergo, as well as engaging individuals in the region's transformation in order to enhance its inclusiveness, sustainability and beauty. Unlike previous years, this event will take place over one and a half days and will include a site visit to Argelato.

The event will run from 24 to 25 May: it is free upon registration and open to all.
