JC-Electronics: a global actor in refurbished industrial electronics

By giving used and defective devices a second life, the company contributes to the circular economy and helps customers reduce their carbon footprint. JC-Electronics began in 2006 in an attic and has grown into a global player with 300 employees, a stock of over 300 000 products and branches in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
"Electronics that have worked can work again" is the motto of JC-Electronics. This philosophy drives the company to repair, refurbish and sell primarily used products, now serving customers in over 100 countries. This approach has earned them the RecQ mark from DEKRA and Rcube for reliability and circularity in refurbished electronics.
They have developed a robust repair and refurbishment process over the past 17 years. The electronics are first professionally cleaned to remove all dirt. Defects and malfunctions are then rectified, and components prone to wear are replaced. Before a refurbished product is sold, it undergoes a thorough testing procedure.
- DEKRA inspectors have evaluated JC-Electronics' entire chain of procurement, refurbishment, sales and after-sales services. The RecQ certification, the first European label for refurbished second-hand products, verifies that JC-Electronics sources its electronics reliably, refurbishes and repairs them to high standards, and adheres to circular economy principles. JC-Electronics is one of the first two companies to be awarded this certification.
- Technical staff are trained at an in-house corporate school. Technicians wishing to learn the trade can earn a vocational diploma alongside their job. This initiative enables the company to share knowledge internally and recruit well-trained technicians.
