Have a circular project to submit to InvestCEC?

Do you have a circular economy project to submit?

The Horizon Europe project InvestCEC aims to develop a replicable model for implementing circular economy projects in cities and regions.

It's an opportunity to cooperate with public entities (mostly utility companies), policy makers, venture capitalists and funding experts. The project seeks to foster progress in circular economy solutions and help innovative entrepreneurs to overcome financial barriers.

Selected candidates will have the chance to present their circular economy solutions and receive detailed expert feedback from experienced business consultants, venture capital experts and the public sector at no cost.

Topics include the regulatory framework, the political background and understanding how working with the public sector differs from working with the private sector. Coaching will ensure that selected candidates can refine their business model and so boost their chances of securing funding from the investment programmes developed within the project.

Who can apply?
Entrepreneurs engaged in

  • Greentech
  • Renewable energy
  • Waste management
  • Smart city logistics, and related fields.

While the primary focus is on solutions in waste management, energy and water treatment applicable to the pilot city of Klagenfurt represented by Stadtwerke Klagenfurt, innovative circular projects from across Europe are welcome to apply.

Business cases will be evaluated on their feasibility, experience, commercial potential, funding needs and circularity. Applicants should be aware that they must be past concept stage and should already be able to offer a product
