The Dutch foundation Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling (Food Waste Free United) is organising the international conference Towards Halving Food Waste in Europe. This event will bring together representatives of European companies, public organisations, civil society and scientific organisations keen to halve food waste by 2030.

Day 1 - 18 June

The conference will kick off with the national perspective from Jan-Kees Goet, Secretary-General of the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. Klaus Berend, Director for Food Safety, Sustainability and Innovation in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, will outline the developments in Europe. Champions 12.3 ambassador Liz Goodwin from the World Resources Institute will provide insight into the global perspective.

In the afternoon, there will be breakout sessions covering topics such as Business Solutions & innovations and Navigating Food-Feed Competition: Towards Scalable Solutions in Europe.

Day 2 - 19 June

Food waste-free field trips! Over 20 companies are opening their doors to show how they manage to prevent and reduce food waste.
