Scope

The GO-GRASS consortium consists of a multidisciplinary team of 22 partners from eight European countries (Germany, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Hungary). The project is built around four regional demonstration sites located in The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Denmark, where partners work with farmers, research centres and local technological companies to create grass-based products.

The GO-GRASS final event will take place on 12 and 13 March. It'll be a chance to discuss the project's final results and the implications for grass-based businesses in a future bio-based economy.

The event will feature a session on circular business models and technologies developed by the GO-GRASS project, along with two policy panels with high-level representatives from EU, national and local level stakeholders.

On 12 March, participants will learn about the successes of the four demonstration sites, the value creation tools for grass processing and recent policy developments in the bioeconomy and agri-food sectors. A debate and best practices session based on the project's results are scheduled.

On 13 March, there'll be an excursion to the Dutch demonstration site, a grass-based paper production facility where participants can see how road-side grass currently considered to be waste is transformed into high-quality paper.

There will be debates on the policy recommendations published in the GO-GRASS White Paper for grassland opportunities, then the event will end with a networking drink at the venue in Brussels.
