The European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment (DG ENV) is thrilled to announce the launch of the #WaterWiseEU campaign, and would like to invite you to become a campaign partner.

The campaign aims to encourage people across Europe to See Water Differently. The idea is to raise awareness of the key water issues we face, encourage people to learn about the solutions, and show how we can all value, use and manage water differently. Together, we can inspire change and secure a future where water is respected, protected, and accessible to all. 

Poorly managed water leads to overuse, loss or waste. We need to reduce the demand on water by using it more efficiently and reusing it when possible in a circular perspective.

The official launch of the campaign takes place on 29 May 2024, during EU Green Week focusing on water resilience, and the campaign will run until the autumn.

A campaign toolkit, now available in all EU languages, has been developed to spread and amplify the key messages of the campaign and adapt these to your target audience.
