RI.CIRCO.LO.: helping Lombardy's SMEs develop circular initiatives in priority sectors
This call, funded by Lombardy's regional programme and the 2021-2027 European Regional Development Fund, supports industrial symbiosis, waste prevention, recycling, reuse and recovery. It is intended for Lombardy-based SMEs, including innovative start-ups.
The call focuses on the following areas:
Plastics, tyres, polymers, textiles:
- use of byproducts
- reuse of packaging, including deposit schemes
- reuse of products or lifecycle extension through reverse logistics and remanufacturing
- adapting production lines to use fewer resources, feed waste products back into the loop, introduce end-of-waste materials or allow for improved end-of-life design
- innovative and scalable projects on more efficient sorting of waste with a view to reuse and recycling of plastic, bioplastic and textile waste.
Electronics and WEEE (including solar panels), batteries and accumulators:
- ecodesign
- (preparation for) reuse and recycling of CRMs.
Phosphorus recovery:
- pretreatment of relevant waste
- recovery from sewage sludge, organic and other waste (only in the form of elemental phosphorus, salts and solutions of salts and minerals).
Critical Raw Materials:
- ecodesign
- preparation for reuse and reuse of products and waste
- recovery.
There is a total budget of EUR 7 million, and the projects must be completed within 24 months.
Applications will be accepted from 6 October to 5 November 2026 via Lombardy's announcements website.
