How can finance accelerate the circular economy?
In mid-2026, the EU Circular Economy Research Centre (EU CERC) mapped how 25 financiers are integrating circularity into their portfolios. The findings reveal both challenges and promising approaches, from new financing tools and guarantees to direct support for circular businesses.
On 24 November, EU CERC will present the key insights from this exercise, which will be useful for commercial banks, public development banks, private foundations and other financing actors. They will also help entrepreneurs seeking finance, as they show how circularity can become an additional selling point when it is presented effectively.
Three financiers will share their approaches, experiences and examples from clients looking to step up the circularity of their business models. The session will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A session and open discussion.
