Scope

The way in which consumers use products and dispose of them is no longer sustainable. Taking up this issue, the circular economy project CIRC4Life offers a collaborative way of developing new products, one that integrates consumer needs and where consumers play a central role through its "living labs" and "innovation camp". CIRC4Life has set up pilot projects across Europe with a focus on food products, LED lamps and tablets, and is trialling a system of ecopoints that rewards consumers for buying more sustainable goods, and when reducing products use or recycling.
