5TH ETV Stakeholder Forum: De-risking the adoption of green technologies for a sustainable industrial transition

Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) is a circular economy tool and service promoting the uptake of innovative technologies through third-party verification.

The 5th ETV Stakeholder Forum: De-risking the adoption of green technologies for a sustainable industrial transition is part of the EU ETV scheme promoting innovation in environmental technologies that are key to a cleaner planet. The 5th Stakeholder Forum will bring together stakeholders interested in ETV so that they can

  • share their views on the EU ETV programme
  • advise the European Commission on its implementation
  • contribute to its evaluation and way forward.

Following a successful pilot project, the ETV scheme is now being implemented by the European Commission with the support of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology as a fully-fledged EU Environmental Technology Verification Programme. It has seven technology areas and covers the entire EU.

The 5th Forum aims to contribute to mainstreaming ETV as a tool to de-risk market adoption of new environmental technologies for a sustainable industrial transition. The goal is to ensure that the environment, the economy and the marketplace benefit from green technological innovations with proven performance.

The dialogue with stakeholders will lay a solid groundwork for the future of the ETV scheme and build synergies with sustainable transition efforts at EU and national level.

The hybrid event on 1 June at 9:30 - 16:30 CEST will be held in Brussels at EIT House and online.
