Recovinyl is an initiative by the European PVC value-chain aimed at facilitating PVC waste collection and recycling under the Voluntary Commitments of Vinyl 2010 and VinylPlus®.
Recovinyl’s target is to stimulate and certify the recycling of 800,000 tonnes of PVC waste by 2020 as one of the challenges set in the VinylPlus Voluntary Commitment. Oana Neagu is Director of the General Affairs team at Copa Cogeca. The team covers topics related to circular and bio-economy, environment and climate change, research and innovation, food waste etc. Oana is an agricultural engineer and holds a Master’s degree in business administration. She previously worked at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Agriculture as a policy officer, in charge of managing market measures. Prior to joining the Commission in 2006, she was the counsellor for European integration at the Ministry of Agriculture in Romania, and was involved in preparing Romania’s accession to the European Union.
She is a member of the Management Committee of the Multi-stakeholder platform on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the EU and actively involved in various experts’ group on bioeconomy, forestry and rural development.

François-Michel Lambert is a Member of Parliament, having been elected in the 10th constituency of the Bouches-du-Rhône (Southern France).
He is a member of the Sustainable Development and Country Planning Commission at the National Assembly, and also holds the position of President of the France-Cuba Friendship group at the National Assembly.
He is founding President of the Institute for Circular Economy, a multi-stakeholder association composed of 200 members, companies, communities, NGOs, and schools that defines and implements a transformation of our economic model to emerge from a society of waste and move towards the development of an economy focused on the resource, its preservation and its efficient use. The Institute has become the French reference and the main partner of the public authorities.
Mr. Lambert received the Marianne d'Or award for sustainable development for his proactive action in favour of this change of model towards a circular economy.
FEAD is the European Federation representing the European waste management industry. FEAD’s members are national waste management associations covering 19 Member States, Norway and Serbia. They have an approximate 60% share in the household waste market and handle more than 75% of industrial and commercial waste in Europe. Their combined annual turnover is approximately € 75 billion. FEAD represents about 3000 companies with activities in all forms of waste management. These companies employ over 320000 people who operate around 2400 recycling and sorting centres, 1100 composting sites, 260 waste-to-energy plants and 900 controlled landfills. They play an important role in the determination of the best environmental option for waste management problems.

At the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) Jean-Pierre is the policy officer responsible for Product Policy and Circular Economy.
The EEB is Europe’s largest network of environmental citizens’ organisations with around 140 organisations in more than 30 countries. Jean-Pierre has a Masters degree in Environmental Policy from Humboldt University Berlin and in Geography from the University of Oxford.
Prior to joining the EEB, Jean-Pierre worked for four years at the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) in Brussels, as part of their Green Economy programme where he specialised in plastics, market-based instruments and economic indicators. At IEEP he published a number of reports on a range of environmental issues for the European Commission, European Parliament, UN Environment and the OECD.
As an adviser for environmental and climate policy, Leon de Graaf particularly follows policies related to the circular economy, trade and climate, low-emission mobility, implementation of the Paris climate agreement (COP21) and the European emission trading system (EU ETS). He is also deputy manager of BusinessEurope's corporate Advisory and Support Group (ASGroup). Prior to joining BusinessEurope, Leon worked at the research consultancy Ecorys, focusing on renewable energy and international development issues, at DG COMP on energy and environmental subsidies in Europe, and at the Dutch Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) on indirect ETS costs for energy-intensive industries. Leon has a MSc in environmental economics and climate change from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in business economics from the University of Groningen.
Cities and regions in Alpine Space have mainly set their low-carbon objectives and adopted relevant strategies in energy, mobility, construction aso. The project GREENCYCLE aims to introduce the system of circular economy as a holistic approach to support implementation of low-carbon strategies and provide additional 2-4 % greenhouse emission reduction to the partner cities.
Innovative bonus-malus system for increased rates of recyclability in the packaging industry, France
Eco-contribution is mandatory in France for the packaging industry, as an incentive for improving recyclability from the start. The Modulated Eco-Contribution Scale is an educational and financial incentive tool which promotes the development of eco-design, without being punitive. In order to competitively facilitate maximum recycling of paper fibres, manufacturers must adopt best practices and manage materials so as to preserve their quality.
The project is located in the territory of Thau. This is an experimental project, carried out by the CPIE * Bassin de Thau with the involvement of different partners, including CIRAD* for scientific coordination. This project aims to develop a new fishing field, on the one hand, by experimenting with mule farming, an omnivorous local species less demanding in terms of protein intake and yet providing all the benefits required for human consumption, and on the other hand by testing the incorporation of bread from the catering industry into fish pellets.
These two aspects aim to produce a local fish with all the nutritional qualities at a lower cost and to reduce the food waste in the collective catering and the baker sector. The project aims to create an innovative and sustainable territorialized food system. The project is accompanied by education and awareness raising among actors and the public to combat food waste and responsible food behavior.
