The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is an initiative promoting awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management. It encourages a wide range of audiences (public authorities, private companies, civil society as well as citizens themselves) to get involved.

The thematic focus for 2018 is Prevention of Hazardous Waste, which poses a greater risk to our health and our environment when compared to other types of waste. In 2018, it is time to detox and diminish the use of such products in our nearest surroundings such as bathrooms, kitchens, sheds and garages!
