Faced with unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, governments in Europe and beyond will need to put strategies in place for reinvigorating their economies. At the EU level, the circular economy - a key feature of the European Green Deal - offers potential for economic growth decoupled from resource use.
On 10 September 2020 Brussels-based think tank CEPS was willing to organise a webinar titled Circular economy to the rescue, answering the following questions:
What role can the circular economy play in the national recovery strategies? Which industries and value chains would be affected? And what actions should governments consider?
- Stientje Van Veldhoven, State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management, The Netherlands
- Virginijus Sinkevičius, EU Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries
We are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen changes in speaker availability the webinar has been postponed!
