The aim of this webinar on 4 October 2022 (11:00 - 13:00 CEST) is to highlight the decades-long contribution of work integration social enterprises (WISEs) in the promotion of an inclusive circular economy. Speakers from various European countries will share their good practices and expertise in a series of presentations about their social innovations for an inclusive circular transition and the EU policies supporting WISEs and other social economy actors.

The session will open with a presentation from Julie Rijpens (OECD) on the Policy brief on making the most of the social economy’s contribution to the circular economy. Afterward, representatives from Ateliere Fara Frontiere and Kierrätyskeskus will respectively present on the role of digital skills and tools, while representatives from Arcobaleno and De Kringwinkel will focus on funding opportunities (socially responsible public procurement and collaboration with the private sector) for social enterprises.

Time will be set aside to encourage discussion with the public in separate Zoom breakout sessions.
