It is difficult to measure what the construction industry ecosystem is doing to address this problem and capture the value of these materials. To reap the full benefits of a circular economy, different circular economy approaches should be applied by different stakeholders across the value chain. However, it is unclear how far this is already being done.

A new ongoing study by Deloitte aims to boost the application and measurement of circular approaches in the construction industry ecosystem across Europe. Final output is expected by May 2023.
