The 2024 ASEAN Circular Economy Forum (ACEF2024) will focus on Guiding the Transition – ASEAN and EU Approaches to Circular Innovation and Entrepreneurship. 

ACEF2024 is an essential platform for fostering dialogue between the ASEAN policy community and stakeholders, and aims to advance the region's circular transition through national policies and regional collaboration.

This year's forum has the following objectives:

• Supporting innovation and entrepreneurship for a circular transition;
• Showcasing existing circular economy practices in the ASEAN region; 
• Building on ASEAN's traditions and values for a circular transition;
• Providing ideas on circular economy activities and initiatives to be considered for the 2025 Malaysian ASEAN Chairmanship.

There will be five sessions on 2 October, including one on EU initiatives in Europe and ASEAN – current status, lessons learnt and next steps.

There will also be two side events on 1 October, organised by the Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam and the Embassy of Finland/Business Finland. They will focus on circular startups and private-sector solutions in the textiles and plastics industries.

This key event will take place on 1-2 October at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand, and will be held in conjunction with the SX Sustainability Exhibition. Participants can attend in person or online, and the event will be in English.
