Training workshop on rubberised asphalt for cycling lanes & urban roads
The workshop will be part of the 31st Conference of the European Tyre Recycling Association (ETRA).
It will focus on rubberised asphalt, a noise-reducing pavement material made of regular asphalt concrete mixed with crumb rubber from recycled tires.
It is organised by the SMILE CITY and RE-PLAN CITY LIFE projects: the first one aims to revolutionise urban infrastructure with circular economy solutions, while the second one seeks to raise awareness about the circular economy opportunities for materials, products and applications obtained from tyre recycling.
The workshop will provide practical information for the growing professional community of people committed to developing circular solutions for urban infrastructure, especially rubberised asphalt.
The programme covers the use of rubberised asphalt, looking at materials and mixes, comparative performance data, how to use standard equipment, which standards apply and green public procurement.
The workshop will be in person only at 10:30–16:30 CET on 24 March. Registration (there is no charge for attending).
