Launch of Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s policy brief on Design it right: Make circular systems the norm
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is organising a webinar to launch their latest policy brief: Design it right: Make circular systems the norm.
The brief explores policies which aim to make circular systems the norm via design, focusing on three key systems: product, agriculture and urban planning. It features six case studies from G20 countries and provides practical recommendations to help policymakers design and implement effective circular economy policies.
Join them to hear from the authors, policymakers and experts involved in implementing these instruments, and discuss the biggest opportunities and challenges.
Bring your questions for an interactive Q&A, meet their team, and learn how these policies can help to accelerate the transition to a resilient and competitive circular economy.
This session will explore key policy instruments, including product, agricultural and urban planning policies, and look at implementation across diverse country contexts, drawing from experiences from the food and plastics packaging systems, focusing on key contextual aspects including institutional capacity, stakeholders and just transition.
Speakers include:
- Germán Ruiz Méndez, Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources, Government of Mexico
- Guus ter Haar, Circle Economy Foundation
- Magash Naidoo, ICLEI World
To accommodate different time zones, two live webinars will be organised. They will be conducted in English with live captions available in multiple languages, allowing participants to follow the discussion in their preferred language.
This webinar will take place on 9 July at 15:00 - 16:30 (GMT+1)
(Brussels 16.00 | New York 10.00 | Brasilia 11:00 | Mexico City 8:00).
