Digital Product Passport: What fashion and textile businesses need to know
This webinar will explore the latest developments in the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and what they mean for the fashion and textile sector, with a particular focus on SMEs.
It will provide an update on the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), including the expected timeline for the textiles delegated act, the evolving Digital Product Passport framework, and the launch of the EU Digital Product Passport Registry. It will also examine how international, European and national standards are being developed to support DPP implementation and help businesses prepare for future product information, interoperability and compliance requirements.
The session is organised by The Centre for Sustainable Design® at UCA in collaboration with the British Standards Institution as part of the EU Just Fashion project. Just Fashion aims to accelerate climate transition in the fashion industry by providing businesses in the partner countries with a reference framework and tools to shift their production methods, internal procedures and final products towards more sustainable models that are low carbon, circular and socially inclusive.
This event will take place at 11:00–12:00 CEST/10:00–11:00 GMT on 18 September. There is no charge for attending, but you will need to register by emailing the organisers your name, job title and organisation. On receipt, you will be sent instructions to join the webinar.
