Advancing the EU’s sustainable construction framework through the Circular Economy Act
Recycling Europe will hold its annual Construction & Demolition conference during the Ecomondo expo, which brings together businesses, institutions, researchers, policymakers and stakeholders working on the transformation of the green and circular economy.
The conference will bring together representatives from the European Commission, the recycling and construction industries and other key stakeholders to exchange views on the forthcoming Circular Economy Act and the related legislative developments shaping sustainable construction, such as the Public Procurement Act, the Industrial Accelerator Act, the Construction Products Regulation and the development of EU end-of-waste for the mineral fraction of Construction & Demolition Waste.
It will include a presentation on the EU-funded Builders project, which aims to assess the introduction of EPR schemes for construction products. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion with stakeholders from across the construction and procurement value chain, including St Gobain, Ragn Sells, ICLEI, ECOS and Bellona Europe.
The event will take place at 14:00 - 15:30 CET on 4 November. It will be in English and in person, in Rimini. Register here.
