The European Week for Waste Reduction Awards Ceremony will be online this year!
In the path for reconstruction of our society, a wide-ranging behavioural change is needed. Every year the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) with the motto “the best waste is the one that is not produced” encourages a more sustainable world promoting waste prevention by challenging citizens, NGOs, businesses, public authorities, and schools around Europe to take action.
This year, like every year, waste prevention is on the limelight during the EWWR Awards Ceremony, which will take place online on 25 June at 14:00 CEST. Virginijus Sinkevičius, European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, will open the ceremony.
A jury made of 6 experienced practitioners in the field of waste prevention from the European Parliament, the European Committee of the Regions, the EU Commission, the European Environmental Bureau, the Foundation for Environmental Education, and Eurochambres will award the most outstanding actions of the last edition.
