Be part of the revision process of the EU Green Public Procurement for Road Transport criteria: have your say!
The purpose of the EU Green Public Procurement (GPP) for Road transport criteria is to facilitate the inclusion of green requirements in public tenders. They are revised taking into consideration new legislation, market development, technical standards and environmental aspects mainly from a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) perspective.
The current EU GPP criteria for road transport were published in January 2019. Still, they need an early revision following the approval of the Directive (EU) 2019/1161 amending Directive 2009/33/EC on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport vehicles (revised CVD). These adjustments mainly affect the criteria for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
During the EU GPP criteria revision process, continuous consultation is carried out with a broad group of experts and stakeholders representing manufacturers, supply chain industry, procurers, Member States, consumer organizations and NGOs.
