This year, the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) will be held in South Asia – specifically in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The theme will be Circular economy: Transition for people and prosperity, engaging communities and businesses all over the world to build a successful future together.

It will position India at the forefront of scalable circular economy solutions for a resource-constrained world. Building on the direction set by previous forums, WCEF2026 serves as a platform for accelerating market transformation, demonstrating how circular solutions reshape value chains, strategies and competitive advantage at scale.

WCEF2026 will be hosted at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre in Gandhinagar, India. You can also join the forum online or take part in WCEF Studios around the world.

The main forum programme on 15 and 16 September consists of 4 plenaries and 16 parallel sessions along with an expo, showcasing practical and scalable circular economy solutions. In addition, a range of accelerator sessions will be held on 17 and 18 September in Gandhinagar, online and around the globe. Side events are held throughout the year.

The main sessions will be delivered in English, although some complementary events might be held in other languages.

The call for accelerator sessions is open: sessions should be linked to one of the forum’s four programme tracks (People, Business, Governance and Growth). The organisers are particularly interested in proposals focusing on scaling circular solutions in practice, strengthening resource efficiency and competitiveness, enabling inclusive transitions, and connecting local solutions with global markets, policies and finance!

The sessions must be held live on 17-18 September and be relevant to a global audience, although local case studies and perspectives are welcome.

The deadline for applying is 23 June.

The call for expo area hosts is expected to be launched later in June.

Attendance in person is by invitation only but online participation is open to all, free of charge.
