This is part of a series on Brazilian secondary raw materials and European buyer requirements. It maps the documentation gap between Brazilian secondary feedstock supply (e-waste, magnet-bearing components, recycled metals) and what European recyclers, traders and buyers must be able to read, trust and defend.

Brazil documents the formal collection of about 3% of its e-waste, and its domestic certificate of final destination does not cover exported material. A European buyer needs a single, verifiable trail linking four recycled status and provenance, lawful shipment, documented data destruction, and records supporting the buyer's own recycled-content disclosures.

The report proposes a simple way for buyers to estimate the cost of missing evidence before contracting.
