The third International Circular Change Conference entitled Unfolding Circular Economy Roadmaps took place on 10 and 11 May in Kostanjevica na Krki and Maribor, Slovenia.
The first Slovenian Circular Economy Roadmap paves the way towards a circular economy in Slovenia by highlighting best practices, key sectors and proposing policy recommendations through an inclusive multi-stakeholder process. Coordinated by the Circular Change platform, it focuses on four priority areas:
- Food system
- Forest-based value chains
- Manufacturing industry
The draft framework was published in November 2017, while the final document entitled Roadmap towards the circular economy in Slovenia was presented to the public at the 3rd Circular Change conference on 11 May 2018.
