Description

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ produces a sustainable and fully biodegradable viscose fibre brand for apparel. It is developed from renewable pulp and wood sources. Importantly, the wood which serves as raw material comes from certified sustainable sources (certification provided upon request).

Several brands in the textile sector already employ LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres. Due to a transparent supply chain, the fibre used in the final product can be tracked down to its origins. This material has been awarded the EU Ecolabel, for its fully certified low environmental impact at all stages, from production to disposal.

Main results
  • LENZING™ ECOVERO™ production requires up to 50% less water, in comparison to conventional cotton or generic viscose.
  • If compared to generic viscose, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ technology produces up to 50% less CO2 emissions.
  • EcoVero fibre has been awarded the EU Ecolabel.
  • A T-shirt produced with LENZING™ ECOVERO™ can be degradable in three-months' time.
