In 2022, the Procura+ Awards, an ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability initiative, will for the first time feature a category on "Circular Procurement of the Year".

In addition, purchasing authorities can compete in the categories "Sustainable Procurement of the Year", "Innovation Procurement of the Year" and "Procurement Initiative of the Year". To apply, click here. The deadline for submitting applications is 31 March 2022.

The awards recognise public purchases (and related initiatives) that have achieved remarkable economic, environmental and social impacts, or include circular or innovation elements.

Award winners will receive a unique trophy, will have ample opportunities to promote their work, and will be widely endorsed in a variety of ICLEI publications and communication channels. Furthermore, case studies will be published and showcased on the Sustainable Procurement and Innovation Procurement platforms.

Previous award participants have said that taking part in the Procura+ Awards helped them benchmark themselves and gain visibility for their work and achievements. For winners, these awards remain an excellent way to prove their commitment to sustainability and innovation, and earn widespread recognition.
