As a region with numerous developing countries, South Asia's economies are rising with diverse economies and exports, such as cotton in Pakistan and textiles in Bangladesh. This webinar on 10 November at 13:00 - 14:45 CET will examine the importance of international trade and regulation focusing on South Asia's regions, for an accelerated transition to a circular economy.

Trade can provide potential opportunities for a global circular economy by directing waste and materials to destinations where there is a comparative advantage in sorting and processing these materials. The event will explore what can be influenced by the linkages between trade and the environment.

This side event is especially relevant ahead and its findings will feed into the WCEF 2022 Main Event on Trade and Circular Economy led by Chatham House in Kigali, Rwanda.
