The European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP) is an international platform bringing together industry, science, regulators and stakeholders with a view to facilitating sustainable phosphorus management, including reuse and recycling.

It organises the European Sustainable Phosphorus Conference (ESPC), the world’s leading event dedicated to sustainable phosphorus. This conference brings together policymakers, industry, researchers and practitioners to explore European policy developments, practical implementation of phosphorus sustainability and global trends shaping the phosphorus value chain.

The year's conference will explore:

  • fertilisers, phosphorus stewardship and their role in supporting sustainable food systems and food security
  • interactions between climate change and phosphorus, including impacts on phosphorus dynamics, carbon sequestration, soil fertility, crop productivity and nutrient requirements
  • phosphorus recovery and recycling
  • phosphorus removal
  • sustainability in phosphorus mining and processing
  • other aspects of phosphorus chemistry, management and uses.

A site visit is possible to an OCP phosphate mining operation, including rock beneficiation and processing.

This event will take place on 24-26 November, with side events on 23 November. It will be held at Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, Benguerir, Morocco. Buy your ticket hereProgramme.
