The EU-funded FRANCESCA project focuses on improving circular design practices and supporting the development of circular business models in the furniture sector. It aims to develop innovative solutions that span the entire furniture life cycle—from design and production to use, repair, reuse and end-of-life processes such as refurbishment and recycling.

However, first it needs to understand what the furniture industry needs. FRANCESCA has therefore launched two surveys for furniture companies:

• Needs for an assessment tool to support circular design

This survey aims to establish just what a circular design tool should cover.

• Circular Business Model Innovation in the furniture industry

This surveys looks at how active your company is in the various stages of the furniture value chain, which circular business models you have already implemented and why, and the challenges involved in implementing them.
