In a circular economy, solutions are often spread across the entire value chain. Moving ahead with them requires knowledge of the circular economy and the skills to turn that knowledge into action to initiate change within organisations.

The Circular Ambassador Programme was set up to shape ambitious professionals into Circular Ambassadors. This session will focus on training future trainers.

The FURN360 project developed a training course intended to familiarise furniture sector professionals with the transition to a circular economy model. It is a free-of-charge set of online modules offering 80 hours of training to understand the shift needed in the furniture industry to engage in a circular economy. Freely available to all learners, it provides a comprehensive understanding of the twin digital and green transition in manufacturing companies.

Climacy is an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership which promotes environmental education and sustainability. It equips teachers, trainers and educators with the tools to educate students about sustainability, including circularity, and ways to tackle climate change.

The IDEA Guide is a valuable resource for adult educators and institutions and includes tools and methodologies applicable to organisations and their work with the target group. Highlighting national and European good practices, it emphasises ways to integrate circular principles through arts, crafts and non-formal education methods.

ecoCEO is an interactive and engaging educational game for the classroom. It increases awareness and transfers knowledge about circular economy strategies and circular business models in a hands-on and fun way. The game is web-based and does not require any prior installation. It is also free to use.

The Joint Curriculum for a Vocational Education Training course is based on an analysis of industrial needs and establishes a learning pathway for a good understanding of what the twin digital and green transition means for manufacturing companies and how to implement it.

KU Leuven is starting two new interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes on the circular economy for professionals, where students learn from both academic and industrial experts. The two programmes will be held in parallel and partly together and will start in October 2023. Courses are on site each Thursday (13:30-20:30) in either Kortrijk (2023-2024) or Leuven (2024-2025).
