Summary of the pledge
IKEA recognises that to create a positive impact for people and planet, we must use our global reach and scale to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. - By 2020, single-use plastic products will be removed from the IKEA home furnishing range globally
- IKEA Group (Ingka Holding B.V.) will also phase out single-use plastic items offered in customer and co-worker restaurants bistros and cafés
- By 2030, IKEA Group (Ingka Holding B.V.) aims to reduce waste by 25% across retail operations in its 29 markets, as well as striving for 100% recycling rates
- IKEA Group Investments (Ingka Holding B.V.) will continue to invest in line with the IKEA values and ambition to make a positive impact for people and planet
