MAT4EU aims to structure and connect the European advanced materials ecosystem by bringing together six European clusters representing different regions and industrial specialisations. It supports innovative EU SMEs in the adoption of innovative advanced materials solutions. 

It will support up to 46 European SMEs by organising two cascade funding open calls to accelerate innovation and strengthen competitiveness. 

The first MAT4EU Open call will be divided into 2 strands: 

• Strand 1: Product innovations supporting European autonomy - Development and Innovation 
• Strand 2: Mastering green and digital transformation - Industrial Adoption 

The total budget for this call is €600 000 for Strand 1, with the aim of supporting at least 10 SME projects, and €607 500 for Strand 2, with the aim of supporting at least 19 SME projects.

The selected SMEs will benefit from a comprehensive support programme that combines direct financial support with a structured portfolio of services to accelerate innovation, strengthen capabilities and facilitate access to international markets.
