The 7th IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) International Workshop on Smart Circular Economy will be held in conjunction with the 21th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things (IEEE DCOSS-IoT). Smart Circular Economy is an international workshop focusing on the role of ICT as an enabler for the circular economy. It brings together scientists, researchers and stakeholders from industry and local communities to share their experiences, discuss challenges and report state-of-the-art and in-progress research at the intersection of ICT and the circular economy. 

Future and emerging technologies, such as 5G and 6G networks, Distributed Ledger Technologies and crowdsourcing systems, along with innovative models and paradigms, such as the Internet of Things, Industry 5.0 and community networks, will play an important role in the transition to the circular economy.

Call for papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers reporting original research or other activities relevant to the circular economy (such as industrial use-cases) that lie within the scope of the workshop. Accepted and presented papers will be published by IEEE and listed by all major academic indexes such as Scopus and DBLP.
