FibreFuture Talks – Visions for a Sustainable Bio-based Future. Introduction
The FIBSUN and Bio-LUSH projects are both funded by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and supported by the Bio-based Industries Consortium and the European Union. Fibsun focuses on cultivating biomass on abandoned land to revitalise the soil and produce bio-based fibres for the construction, automotive and textile sectors, while Bio-LUSH's area of interest is ensuring a sustainable biomass supply, developing eco-friendly and scalable processing methods, optimising biomass value chains and embracing circular design principles for decarbonisation and reduced eutrophication.
The two of them are working together to organise a webinar series called FibreFuture Talks – Visions for a Sustainable Bio-based Future.
It will explore the opportunities, challenges and innovation potential of the bioeconomy across Europe, through the lens of two collaborative and pioneering projects.
Each session will delve into topics at the forefront of sustainable bio-based innovation, including:
Biomass valorisation
Natural fibres and bioproducts
Sustainable agriculture and forestry
Innovation in the bioeconomy value chain
The series will kick off at 11:00-12:30 CEST on 28 April with an introductory session. Registration.
