Repsol’s approach is to manufacture polymer composites with a maximum % of recycled content that does not undermine the functionality of the virgin raw material in the final application. Repsol will also make a proposal to incorporate recycled plastics in the formulation of our multilayer 25 kg industrial bags for pellets, contributing to directly create a larger demand of recycled plastics.
WE INTEND TO increase our use of recycle content of the materials used up to this moment, for single-use plastics, as follows:
From 1.316,924 kilos of RPET, to 2.600.000 RPET
From 46.700 kilos of RPP, to 250.000 RPP From 88.989 kilos of RPS, to 200.000 RPS
From total on 31/12/2017, 1.451.983 recycled material to total 31/12/2025, 3.050.000 recycled material
Kaneka Belgium NV would like to pledge to provide European market with innovative biodegradable polymer named PHBHTM, for food packaging applications which are 1) difficult to recycle in a mechanical way due to high contamination level, 2) can be fully recovered into organic fertilizer products via organic recycling, and 3) biodegrades in marine environment in case of accidental losses.
