Description

EcoX is a Portuguese company that collects and transforms used cooking oil into household detergents.

That's already circular – but they take it a step further by enabling customers to return the packaging that the detergents are sold in so that it can be refilled and sent back up to seven times.

The company manages a network of over a thousand reuse points across Portugal. Customers can opt to have their packaging picked up from their house or take it to one of the reuse points. Each bottle has a QR code, allowing for complete traceability. There's no charge for returning the packaging.
